GridRio completed its first year of operation. Congratulations and thanks to all those people who helped us provide the state of Rio de Janeiro with its first grid computing resource. |

Resources may be reserved for exclusive use by local users which means grid user may find the GridRio@PUC-Rio unavailable for a day or two. We will do are best to keep our grid users informed in advance. If you would like to reserve exclusive access to the cluster at PUC-Rio, send a message to <suporte@inf.puc-rio.br> with the following information: your user login (the account to which your CN is mapped, default is gridriouser); the number of nodes you wish to use; if you are a student, your supervisor's name; a start and finish time; and that you require the Globus Services running during this period. The list of reservations is available online (execute the command cluster-agenda on the machine server.par.inf.puc-rio.br). |

The cluster will down from 8am until around 1pm Wednesday due to maintainence being carried out on the air conditioning units. |

All IC-UFF grid resources will be down during the weekend. The building will be without power due to maintenence being carried out on the electrical system. |
